In particular, the meeting will be attended by Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulidis, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
The meeting follows the previous consultations and the regular coordination between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt with France in the framework of the “3 + 1” scheme. The last meeting took place online with the participation of the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in May 2020.
Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, Libya, the Gulf, the Sahel and the Cyprus issue are expected to be discussed during the meeting.
Energy co-operation is also expected to be discussed, as well as international challenges such as pandemic, climate change and migration.
After the end of the meeting, statements are scheduled to take place in the press around 15:30.
