According to an announcement by the Greek Ministry of Defence, the Greek Deputy Minister of National Defense, Mr Nikolaos Hardalias, accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, and the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis, went today, Friday, January 14, 2022, to Tanagra Air Base.

Mr Hardalias initially visited the 114 Combat Wing (based in Tanagra), where he was welcomed by its Commander, Squadron Leader Stefanos Ambouleris. He was informed about its organization, mission, and current operational and training activities, as well as about the work carried out for the arrival of the new Greek Rafale F3R fighter jets on January 19, 2022.

He also visited the aircraft hangar of Greek MIRAGE 2000-5s, where he talked to flying and technical staff, while he had the opportunity to see the new workplaces of the Rafale F3R aircraft.

Afterwards, the Greek Deputy Minister of National Defense visited the facilities of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry at the Tanagra Air Base, where he was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of HAI Mr Ioannis Koutras and the CEO Mr Dimitrios Papakostas.

Mr Hardalias toured the maintenance facilities of the fighter jets of Hellenic Air Force, where he was informed about the progress of the work of the current programs of the Greek Armed Forces.

After the visit, the Deputy Minister of National Defense expressed his positive comments on the effort of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, while emphasizing its special importance in supporting the programs of the Armed Forces.

Finally, he visited the Control Industry of the Hellenic Air Force, based at Tanagra Air Base, where he was received by its Commander, Squadron Leader Panagiotis Kalotychos.
