Another meeting was held by the staff of the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force with representatives of the defense industry.

This time it is the company SAAB Technologies, whose representatives presented the capabilities of air surveillance radars that it manufactures.

The Ministry of National Defense announced:

“On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, a meeting was held at the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force with the representatives of the company” SAAB Technologies “Mr. Kenth Borjesson (Vise President Marketing & Sales), Mr. Magnus Sunberg (Senior Director Business Development & Strategy) and Mr. Christos Papantoniou (Branch Office Manager) with responsible staff of the Air Force.

The purpose of the meeting was the presentation, on behalf of the company, of the capabilities of the air surveillance radars that it manufactures” the statement concludes.

Hellenic Air Force has 4 Erieye EMB-145H and apparently there may an interest in either upgrading them through SAAB or acquiring new GlobalEye multi-role airborne early warning & control (AEW&C) platforms.
