The Greek General staff announced that on Thursday, May 06, 2021, Chief General Konstantinos Floros attended the aeroservices S.A. facility in Prachi Megara, at the performance event in the Navy (HN) of the first S-70 Helicopter after the completion of general inspection work.

The event was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Athens Geoffrey R. Pyatt, Chief Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis of Hellenic Navy, AEROSERVICES S.A. CEO Dimitrios Daphnes as well as representatives of Lockheed Martin.

This work was carried out under the recent Greece-US Transnational Agreement, which concerns the FMS program for the Follow-On Support of S-70 Helicopters, and includes, inter alia, the execution of a General Inspection of a Vessel by a certified domestic repair body.

The 11 S-70 helicopters were phased in from 1994 to 2005 and have a total of around 45,000 flight hours. The above program significantly strengthens their support and ensures their high availability while transferring know-how to domestic repair bodies.
