Russia’s oil and gas exports after the conflict in Ukraine may have an uncertain future for the West, but through it, India seems to be benefiting.
According to research by Reuters, India has bought more than twice as much crude oil from Russia since the country invaded Ukraine last year and continues to buy large volumes.
In accordance with Washington Examiner, An Indian oil company official said India was trying to keep prices as stable as possible for consumers while protecting its revenue.
Last month, the President of the United States Joe Biden informed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India’s interest is not served by the Russian oil market, but did not criticize the move.
India seems to have a different view on this issue.
