Israel launches airstrikes on Gaza in response to rocket attacks

Several strikes in the eastern and central areas of the Gaza Strip were carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli Air Force.

The IDF claimed the strikes were performed as a response to the
two rockets fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel late Thursday night.

“In response to the 2 rockets that were fired from Gaza at Israel earlier tonight, our Air Force just struck Hamas military targets in Gaza.” the IDF tweeted on Friday morning.
“Hamas will bear the consequences for terror activity against Israeli civilians.”

An airstrike was also carried out at the Nuseirat camp in Deir al Balah in central Gaza. There are reports of injured from the attack on the camp.

Additional IDF airstrikes were reported in Khan Younis and an area west of Deir al Balah.
