The Libyan government has rejected a decision by the Presidential Council to remove Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush from office.

The Libyan government has said that the presidential council has no legal authority to remove or suspend any minister and that the foreign minister will continue to work normally until the election.

In fact, the Libyan Foreign Minister is currently abroad and is expected to attend the conference on Libya in Paris.

Last night, the Libyan Presidential Council suspended Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush pending an investigation into administrative violations by the minister.

The presidential council invoked the minister’s individualistic approach to foreign policy without consulting members of the government.

The suspension of the Libyan Foreign Minister seems to be connected with Turkey, which is trying to blow up the Libyan conference of Paris as Erdogan’s demands for Greece and Cyprus not to be present were ignored.
