On the occasion of the Russian Navy parade on Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia could identify an enemy and launch an imminent strike on him.
“Russia has gained a worthy position among the top naval forces in the shortest possible time,” he said.
“Today, the Russian Navy has all the necessary capabilities for the credible protection of the Motherland and the national interests of Russia,” Putin said.
“We are able to locate any enemy on the seabed, surface and air and strike an inevitable blow against it, if necessary,” he said.
“The range and flexibility of the strategic tasks that our Navy has always faced are astonishing and cause admiration and pride. “In October, the Russian navy will celebrate its 325th anniversary,” he said.
