Russia test fire “Zircon” hypersonic missile

Following objective control data, a Russian hypersonic anti-ship cruise missile named Zircon, flying at a speed greater than Mach 8, struck a sea target 450 kilometers away with a direct strike, according to the missile’s manufacturer.

Earlier this month, the Russian Defense Ministry released a video showing the launch of a Zircon hypersonic cruise missile.

In an earlier statement, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that the lead ship of Project 22350, the “Admiral Of The Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov,” which is now stationed in the White Water, fired a Zircon hypersonic cruise missile at a target in the sea.
