Russian army paratroopers arrived in Belarus for the joint exercises, which will be held from March 14 to 27, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry said in Telegram
Soldiers of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment of the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division will take part in a joint battalion tactical exercise with one of the units of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade.
According to the deputy commander of the Guards Amphibious Assault Unit – Colonel Roman Samokhin, the head of the Airborne Service of the Guard, the Russian military intends to demonstrate to Belarusian colleagues all their developments, as well as to share their experience.
Colonel Roman Samokhin said: We have been preparing for this teaching for a long time.
The paratroopers’ training will take place at the Osipovichsky training ground in Mahilou Region.
There are three stages to come: the paratrooper battalion will work on conducting special actions, overcoming the water barrier with further access to combat shooting day and night. On the Russian side, about a hundred people will take part in the exercises.
