Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office, confirmed on Friday that the United States may provide training to Ukrainian pilots in the F-15 and F-16 fighter jets.

According to a post by Yermak on Telegram, the United States House of Representatives has approved an amendment to be added to the budget of the United States Department of Defense for fiscal year 2023.

This amendment will make it possible to start training Ukrainian pilots on F-15 and F-16 aircraft.

According to Yermak, the cost of the training program for Ukrainian pilots will be one hundred million United States dollars.

Earlier in the day, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said the 2023 United States defense budget bill provides $1 billion in critical defense assistance to Ukraine in fiscal year 2023.

In order for the proposed bill to become law, it must first be approved by the United States Congress and then signed into law by President Joe Biden.
