This amendment will make it possible to start training Ukrainian pilots on F-15 and F-16 aircraft.
According to Yermak, the cost of the training program for Ukrainian pilots will be one hundred million United States dollars.
Earlier in the day, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said the 2023 United States defense budget bill provides $1 billion in critical defense assistance to Ukraine in fiscal year 2023.
In order for the proposed bill to become law, it must first be approved by the United States Congress and then signed into law by President Joe Biden.
