Turkish army invaded Iraq to carry out attack against Kurds

According to local sources, the Turkish army launched a ground operation at 20:00 local time Friday in parts of Iraqi Kurdistan in violation of Iraq’s borders with helicopters leaving members of the Turkish special forces.

Turkish F16 & F4 fighters are bombing the area with attack helicopters hitting PKK targets in those areas, according to local media.

The area has also been hit by mortars and howitzers from border posts in the region. At the moment the Turkish army appears to be deploying to the area with further forces.

On February 10th the Turkish army had carried out again an attack in Northern Iraq, specifically in the Gara region, which ended in a fiasco as it appears that they bombed 13 Turkish soldiers held as hostages by the PKK in a cave.
