Two Russian strategic bombers carried out air patrols in Belarusian airspace on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
“Today, two long-range Tu-22m3 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed patrols in the airspace of Belarus.” the Russian defense statement said.
“During the flight of the aircraft, issues of interaction with ground control points of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus were worked out.” the statement concluded.
The Belarusian Ministry of Defense announced that joint flights between Belarus and Russia along the border will be carried out on a regular basis. The patrol of the Russian Tu-22M was escorted by Belarusian Su-30s
