Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yair Lapid, has made it clear that his country can use weapons to stop Iran’s nuclear development without notifying the US about the military operation.
“Israel will do whatever it takes to protect its security. And we don’t need anyone’s permission for that. This has been happening since the first day we founded this state,” the Israeli Foreign Minister said.
When asked if Israel has the capacity to successfully carry out this kind of strike, the Foreign Minister replied:
“Israel has capabilities, some of which the world, even some professionals of the field, cannot even comprehend. As for the Iranian danger, Israel is ready to defend itself,” added Yair Lapid.
Tehran considers Israel’s warnings “empty threats”, but has also promised to hit the Dimona nuclear power plant in the event of an attack by Israel.
