Turkey and Ukraine sign new military agreement on manufacturing drones

The Center for the Middle East and Central Asian Studies revealed that Ukraine and Turkey signed an agreement to boost military industrialization, by building a factory to manufacture Turkish Bayraktar drones.

“According to the sources, the agreement contains items, most notably the establishment of a training and testing centre in the Kyiv region to serve Turkish drones and train personnel to operate them.” the Center stated

The centre stated on its official page on Facebook that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the Turkish drone manufacturer signed an agreement on building a centre for manufacturing and servicing the Turkish “Bayraktar” drones.

“On the Ukrainian side, the document was signed by Ukrainian Defense Minister Andrei Tran, and on the Turkish side, the company’s general manager Bayraktar Haluk Bayraktar.”

It is noteworthy that Turkey confirmed Ukraine’s purchase of the drones, as the media reported that Ukraine had used Bayraktar for the first time in Donbas.
