Russian fighters jets escorted three B-52H strategic bombers of the US Air Force over the Bering Sea. On Thursday, July 15, said the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation.
According to him, Russian Air Defense detected the three US bombers approaching the Russian border. In this regard, two pairs of MiG-31 and Su-35 fighters from the air defence forces of the Eastern Military District were scrambled.

After the U.S. bombers turned, Russian fighters returned to their airfield.
It is noted that there was no violation of the Russian border and the flight was held in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
On July 13, a Su-30 fighter was lifted into the air to escort an Ares reconnaissance aircraft near the Russian borders over the Black Sea. After that, the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation published a video of the escort.
