The Chinese army has already sent a train with the tanks of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces to Russia, and as in previous years, Chinese “96B” tank crews will participate in the competition.
China will participate in the Russian “Tank Biathlon” competition, which will be held as part of the Russian military games from August 22 to September 4, 2021.
The first international tank biathlon competition was held at the Alabino proving ground in the Moscow Oblast, on 12–17 August 2013 and continues as the tank biathlon gets more and more popular.
Chinese media reports that the Chinese team is well prepared to beat its Russian counterpart in the competition. It is noteworthy that the International Tank Biathlon – 2021 will be held at the Alabino training ground on the outskirts of Moscow.
The International Army Games is an annual Russian military sports event organized by the Ministry of Defense of Russia (MoD). The event, which was first staged in August 2015, involves close to 30 countries taking part in dozens of competitions over two weeks to prove which is the most skilled.
