Fighting continues between the Northern Alliance and the Taliban in Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, the only part of the country that is not, at least in its entirety, under Taliban control.
In recent days, the Taliban have carried out attacks in the area and have managed to occupy most of the province, but with many casualties. In particular, they said that now only the capital of Panjshir, Bazarak remains, the battles for which, however, are expected to be very difficult for the Taliban.
The Taliban, based on a video shared on social media, have seized the house of Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the Resistance Front (NRF), but he did not appear to be there.
At the same time, with the Taliban one step before the total occupation of Panjshir, but facing a very difficult battle in order to achieve it, Ahmad Massoud said a few hours ago that he was ready for peace talks with the Taliban, on condition that they leave Panjshir and Andarab regions.
