The Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Fomin said during a meeting with his Emirati counterpart Mubarak Saeed Al-Jabri that Russia is ready to transfer the production of weapons and military equipment in the UAE.
“We are ready not only to supply equipment and weapons but also to share technologies, in order to transfer production on the territory of your country,” he said.
He noted that the UAE is a self-sufficient country that actively buys weapons and military equipment and also stressed that is remarkable that it is developing its own high-tech industry.
According to Fomin, the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates are working to further develop their relations and cooperation “in all possible directions”.
Al-Jabri thanked his Russian counterpart for the opportunity to be present at the opening ceremony of the Forum “Army 2021”. He, also, conveyed the “best greetings” of the UAE Minister of Defense and his wish for the exhibition and the forum to continue and grow in size.
