The leader of the Gray Wolves and of the Turkish far-right MHP party, Devlet Bahceli, was welcomed in his office by Turkish President Erdogan. During their meeting, the two politicians were photographed holding a map, which, as it is written, depicts the map of the “Turkish world” and describes the Turkish dreams & aspirations of establishing again the old gone ottoman empire.
Apart from Turkey, this map shows countries in the Middle East, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia, China, as well as 20 provinces of the Russian Federation as part of the “Turkish world”.
Of course, given the Turkish aspirations and claims, Greek Thrace and Cyprus could not be missing from such a map. We remind you that Bahceli many times in the past has expressed extremely aggressive opinions against Greece & Cyprus.
Among other things, in the recent past, he had protested that the Dodecanese were unjustly and illegally cut off from Turkey and that they should become independent from Greece.
