The US Navy denied new media reports that Iranian ships were chasing its vessels in the Gulf waters that first started from Iran’s state TV

“There has been no recent, unsafe and unprofessional interaction with the participation of the US Navy and Iranian ships in the Gulf waters,” Timothy Hawkins, a spokesman for the US Fifth Fleet, answered to press questions.

Yesterday, Iran’s state TV reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ forces pursued US military ships in the Gulf. The Iranian channel also published footage showing Iranian ships passing close to US-flagged boats.

A voice is heard in Farsi, saying: “Keep chasing them.” The report did not say when the confrontation between US Navy vessels and Iranian speedboats took place.
