Azerbaijani claimed on Sunday that Armenia had bombed Azerbaijani positions “for no reason”.
“From 00:23 to 02:12 on February 6, for no apparent reason, the Armenian side sporadically bombarded the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the settlement of Gapanli in the Tartar region,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced.
Armenia, for its part, denies that such a thing happened and attributes it to Azeri provocations, according to media reports. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has not issued a statement on the incident.
We remind you that the two countries are in a constant dispute over their borders after the Artsakh war (Nagorno-Karabakh) where Azerbaijan achieved significant victories taking advantage of the help of Turkish drones and the neutrality of Russia.
Azerbaijan has violated Armenia’s borders several times and there is a process of negotiating to de-escalate the situation through Russia in order to achieve the peaceful withdrawal of Azeri forces.
