An Indian soldier was killed Wednesday in clashes with Pakistan along the LoC checkpoint in the Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian army spokesman said.

“The Pakistani military has resorted to unforeseen violations of the ceasefire in the Sundarbani area of Rajuri. “Our troops responded immediately and returned fire,” the spokesman said.

Jodhpur resident Seppi Lakman was the fourth soldier killed this year in a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control, or LoC.
