The Afek Tounes party announced its support for the decisions of President Kais Saied, which he announced on Sunday evening, by which he froze the work of Parliament.
The party said, in a statement, that the Ennahda movement and its allies are responsible and contributors to the deterioration of the political, economic and social conditions and the growing pace of popular discontent.
On Sunday, Saeed announced the freezing of all Parliament activities and the dismissal of Al-Mashishi from his post, after a day that witnessed demonstrations against the Brotherhood’s Ennahda movement in many cities across the country, despite the heavy police presence to limit movement.
Said announced these decisions under Chapter 80 of the constitution after an emergency meeting at the Carthage Palace, while the country is facing an unprecedented crisis at the political and health level as well in power struggles and the intransigence of the Brotherhood.
