A team of paratroopers of the Cypriot Special Forces participated from 17 to 24 January in advanced training, within the framework of the Defence Cooperation Program between Cyprus and Egypt announced the Cypriot National Guard General Staff.
The paratroopers were trained in an air chamber environment that resembles the conditions of free fall jumping and also performed parachute operations exercises from aircraft of the Egyptian Air Force.
In addition to the additional experience provided by the participation of the Paratroopers of the National Guard, this training contributes significantly to the enhancement of the operational capabilities of the paratrooper teams and to the development of experiences for additional collaborations with paratroopers groups of other countries.
In addition, as stated by the Cypriot National Guard General Staff, the conduct of training activities in conjunction with the implementation of the Cyprus-Egypt Defence Cooperation Programme, reflect the excellent cooperation between the Military Forces of the two countries(Egypt and Cyprus).
