A huge explosion hit the center of Donetsk

According to multiple correspondents in the area, a huge explosion was heard in the center of Donetsk on Friday afternoon, when a car exploded.

According to information of the last minute, the car exploded shortly after noon in front of a government building belonging to pro-Russian separatists or the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic”.

The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Militia, Lieutenant General Denis Sinyakov, confirmed that it was his car that was blown up today in the centre of Donetsk.

The news comes a few hours after the pro-Russian administration ordered a partial evacuation of Donetsk from the civilian population to Russia, citing fears of a conflict with Ukraine as an imminent threat. In the last 24 hours, both Ukraine and the Russian-speaking separatists have been recording dozens of violations of the Minsk ceasefire.

Several Russian media outlets have blamed Ukraine for the car bombing, and we expect to see how this dangerous situation develops, which threatens to completely blow up peace in Eastern Europe.
