Greece appears to be one step closer to acquiring Black Hawk helicopters from the United States, which are expected to boost the Hellenic Armed Forces capabilities.
According to an announcement by the Greek Defense Ministry, a meeting and presentation related to these helicopters was held.
The announcement states:
“On Wednesday 06 July 22, a presentation was made to GES Staff by representatives of the company TRADE – TECH, regarding the Black Hawk helicopters” states the announcement of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defense.
As previously indicated, the Greek Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Hellenic Army are in charge of supplying Black Hawk type helicopters in response to Greece’s official expression of interest by Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos.
The following meetings have also been held at Greek Ministry of Defense:
“On Thursday, June 30, 2022, a meeting of the representatives of the JET AVIATION DEFENCE EMEA company was held at the Aviation Support Command”, Mr. Fabien Fuster (Vice President), Mr. Manuel Mueller (Director BD & Capture Management Head of DesignOrganization) and Mr. Michail Valaskatzi (Consultant) with relevant Management staff.
The purpose of the meeting was the presentation on behalf of the company of its capabilities and technical issues related to the interest of PA aircraft were discussed.”
“On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, a presentation was made to GES staff by representatives of the Austramerica Aerospace Solutions company, regarding cargo cabin systems of the Greek CH-47D (Chinook)”.
