The Hellenic Army General Staff announced, the official receipt of 180 M1117 from the USA. The military vehicles arrived at Thessaloniki, Greece.

“On Sunday, June 26, 2022, the receipt of 180 Armored Security Vehicles (ASV) M1117 took place in Thessaloniki, which are added to the 174 that have already been received.

The M1117’s are granted to our country through United States Surplus Defense Material program (EDA) and are used in reconnaissance and surveillance missions, significantly increasing the operational capabilities of the Hellenic Army, due to their flexibility and enhanced armor.

The receipt of M1117 will continue in the next period of time as planned “concludes the announcement of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
