Greek Army is interested in SPEAR 120mm mortar system mounted on JLTV

The Hellenic Army General Staff appears to be interested in SPEAR 120mm mortar systems mounted on OSHKOSH JLTV vehicles.

Greek Defense Ministry announced:

“On Thursday, June 23, 2022, a meeting of Hellenic Army General Staff was held with representatives of the companies ELBIT SYSTEMS and OSHKOSH DEFENCE, regarding the SPEAR 120 mm self-propelled systems on light armored vehicles OSHKOSH JLTV”, the announcement concludes.

The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a vehicle designed by the United States to partially replace Humvees.

Elbit Systems’ SPEAR is a fully autonomous, vehicle-mounted 120 mm mortar system. According to Elbit, SPEAR provides effective fire support by combining flexibility and firepower efficiency.
