M1117 vehicles continue to be transferred from the US to the Hellenic Army, with a new deliveries taking place on Saturday with the aim of immediately strengthening the capabilities of the Greek Army.
Specifically, according to an announcement by the Hellenic Army General Staff:
“On Saturday, July 23, 2022, the delivery of 90 Armored Wheeled Reconnaissance Vehicles M1117 took place in Thessaloniki, which are added to the 354 that have already been received.
The M1117s are granted to our country through the US Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program and are used in reconnaissance and area surveillance missions, significantly increasing the operational capabilities of the Army, due to their flexibility and enhanced armor.
The receipt of the M1117s will continue in the next period as planned” concludes the announcement.
