Baykar shows Akinci, TB2, K2 and Kemankeş 1 working together at Ateş Serbest-2026

Baykar says its unmanned platforms demonstrated swarm operations, target detection, precision strike and network-centric mission management during the Ateş Serbest-2026 exercise near Ankara.

Turkish manufacturer Baykar says a group of its unmanned systems showed joint operations capabilities at the Ateş Serbest-2026 exercise at Polatlı, Ankara. The company’s statement, published on October 15, is datelined October 13.

Baykar lists four capabilities that the platforms demonstrated: autonomous swarm operations, target detection, precision strike and network-centric mission management. In its words, unmanned platforms developed indigenously by Baykar “demonstrated their effectiveness in joint operations”.

Systems named

The company names six systems as taking part: the Akinci and Bayraktar TB2 combat drones, the K2 kamikaze UAV, the Sivrisinek smart loitering munition, the Bayraktar Kalkan VTOL UAV and the Kemankeş 1 AI-based mini cruise missile.

The release, as available, gives no figures on the number of aircraft, ranges or targets, and does not say which units of the Turkish armed forces were involved. It is a manufacturer’s description rather than an official military readout, and independent confirmation of the claimed swarm and autonomy functions was not found.

Baykar has been publicising a series of live-fire demonstrations in recent weeks. Geopolitiki reported on one of them, Baykar Akinci hits designated target in first firing of Aselsan’s Morfoz guidance kit.
