A new shipment of Greek defence equipment for Ukraine was announced by the Greek Ministry of National Defense on Monday.
Two Greek C-130 aircraft, by order of the Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos, loaded defence equipment and took off to transport it to Poland.
In Poland, the Greek C-130s will be unloaded and the final destination of weapons and ammunition will be Ukraine.
This is the second such shipment from Greece to Ukraine.
Specifically, the announcement of the Greek Ministry of National Defense states:
“Following the directions of the Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, and according to the decisions taken after the meeting (26/2/2022) under the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, today Monday 28 February 2022, two C-130 aircraft with defence material left for Poland.
The activity took place in the context of the practical solidarity of Greece towards the tested Ukrainian people”.
