With the new exercise “RIVER ROAD 22,” which focuses on conducting river crossing operations, the Greek Army delivered a strong warning to Turkey.
The Hellenic Army General Staff announced:
“From Monday 4th to Friday 8th July 2022, the Post-Army Tactical Exercise (TAMS) “RIVER STREET-22” was held at the Center for the Training of Floating Means (KEPM) of South Evros, with the participation of Departments and Means of the 4th Army Corps . (4th SS “THRACE”) and the 1st Army Aviation Brigade (1st CLASS “KILKIS LAHANA”).
During the exercise, objects of river line crossing operations were conducted.
The Distinguished Visitors Day (DVD) of the exercise on July 7 was attended by the Commander of the Greek 4th Army Corps “THRACE” Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplos as a representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff as well as observers from the USA, led by Deputy Commanding General BG Stephen E .Schemnauer of the 34th Infantry Division (US), Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Cyprus” says the Hellenic Army General Staff announcement.
It is recalled that in the previous days the Greek 4th Army Corps carried out a similar night river crossing exercise.
