The General Staffs of 12 countries issued warning to the Myanmar Armed Forces

The Greek General Staff of National Defense, along with the staffs of 11 other countries, issued a warning to the Myanmar Armed Forces for the use of deadly violence against civilians.

The announcement of the Greek General Staff:

The Chiefs of Staff of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States condemn the use of deadly force against unarmed people by the Myanmar Armed Forces and related security services.

Every professional military man follows international standards of conduct and is responsible for protecting – not harming – the people he serves.

We urge the Myanmar Armed Forces to end the use of force and to work to restore the respect and credibility they have lost to their people as a result of their actions.
