Turkish-backed forces in Syria are shelling villages near Ain Issa and Tal Tamr with heavy artillery, according to local media.

In particular, it is reported that many villages near Ain Issa and Tal Tamr and the M4 motorway were bombarded with artillery from regions that are under Turkish control.

A Turkish drone was also observed flying over the targeted areas.

As Rojava Information Center reports: “Turkish-backed SNA forces have shelled NES on the Tel Tamir & Ayn Issa fronts today. Near Ayn Issa, the villages of Bir Issa, Debs, Hoshan, Fatsa, Mushairfa, Khalidiya, Sidon, the Ain Issa camp, the Saqr Restaurant & the M4 road were shelled from Turkish-occupied territory.”

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Friday that there had been “extensive bombardment by Turkish forces” in those regions.
