UAE Prime Minister and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan inspected Russia’s Su-75 Checkmate at the 2021 Dubai Airshow, the press service of the United Aircraft Corp stated according to Russian “Sputnik“.
UAE Prime Minister, the Emir of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was also revealed that he was present at the display of the Su-75 “CheckMate”
The statement says: “The Emir of Dubai, Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Defense of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi & the Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, checked the prototype of the new fighter jet.”
Su-75 Checkmate is Russia’s new 5th-gen single-engine aircraft with the fighter jet being presented for the first time in July at the MAX-2021 Russian aerospace exhibition.
Rosoboronexport said during the MAX-2021 exhibition:
“During the 2021 Max Air Show, together with our partners from the “Unified Corporation for the Aircraft Industry”, which is a member of our company Rostec, have shown this new fighter jet to a number of foreign delegations, including the Indian delegation. We are waiting for their decision. If a request is received. From the partners, we are ready to consider options for cooperation.”
The Russian Minister of Industry and Trade has also declared his hope that the market interest for the new 5th gen fighter jet will be large, as he asserted that “it keeps pace with and is even ahead of its foreign counterparts in terms of technical specifications and is sold at lower prices.”
According to Wikipedia, Su-75 Checkmate Fighter Jet is suspected to cost about $25-30 million US dollars each, and that two days ago, it was announced that the production of various prototypes of the Su-75 Checkmate had started in Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant, where the Sukhoi Su-57 is manufactured.
