URGENT: UAV attack against military facilities in Iraq

A UAV targeted on Monday military facilities located at the International Airport of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, Iraqi media reported.

The drone launched rockets that landed near the fence of the Iraqi Air Force facility. According to the so far available information, there are no casualties.

Recently, the New York Times acquainted that Iran-affiliated forces conducted multiple UAV attacks against military bases in Iraq, including facilities used by US forces lately.

Moreover, a few days ago, Iraqi media reported another attack at the airport by three drones, one of which was shot down.

Last year, the Iraqi parliament voted to end the presence of all foreign forces in the country in response to the drone attack conducted by the American forces near Baghdad International Airport that killed the Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.

Following this decision, the United States withdrew from multiple military bases handing them over to the Iraqi forces, and also agreed to pull all the US-led coalition troops out of Iraq.
