Representatives of the company “Safran Electronics & Defense” met on Tuesday with officials of the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force regarding the AASM Hammer.
The Greek Ministry of National Defense announced about the meeting:
“On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, a meeting was held at the General Staff of the Hellenic Air Force with the representatives of the company Safran Electronics & Defense Mr. Pascal Cassan (VP Sales, Airborne Combat Systems) and Mr. Martin Klotz (Senior VP International & Public Affairs) with competent officials of Hellenic Air Force General Staff.
The purpose of the meeting was the presentation, on behalf of the company, of the capabilities of the Smart A – G Weapon HAMMER (High Agile Modular Munition Extended Range), which it manufactures” concludes the announcement.
The smart AASM Hammer munition has a range of 15 to 60 kilometers depending on the firing height and can be used by both RAFALE and Mirage-2000.
This move is considered very important for Greek Air Force fleet as it is one of the deadliest ammunition that can equip both the Greek Rafale and Mirage fighter jets.
