Iranian Colonel Hassan Sayad Khodayari, a member of the Quds Force, was assassinated in Tehran on Sunday afternoon, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said.
According to Israeli media, the Iranian colonel is said to have been involved in planning attacks against Jews and Israelis around the world. According to a statement released by Iran, Khodayari was conducting military operations in Syria.
Khodayari was shot several times inside his vehicle, resulting in his death.
According to Iranian sources, the member of the Quds Force of Iran was killed by strangers riding a motorcycle in front of his house. Iranian authorities are currently searching for those responsible for the attack.
