Another battle between Armenian and Azeri troops took place in the Gerash area on the border between the two countries.
According to a statement by the Armenian Ministry of Defense, at around 5:20 pm on Thursday, Azeri forces opened fire on the Armenians, who responded to the attack by Azerbaijan.
The exchange of fire lasted almost an hour and a half and the Armenian side suffered no casualties. However, it is not known if there are any injuries or losses for the Azeris.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that another battle took place in the afternoon at the border between the two countries.
In addition to the ongoing armed attacks on the border with Armenia, Azerbaijan has been carrying out asymmetric attacks in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), where it has cut off water supplies to Armenian citizens for a week.
It is recalled that last autumn Armenia and Azerbaijan found themselves in a war over Artsakh that ended with the mediation of Russia and resulted in Armenia losing much of the region. Since then, not only have things not calmed down in the region, but Azerbaijan is provoking Armenia even more by suddenly claiming territories in other regions as well, invoking false maps and constantly attacking Armenian positions on the border.
