The evacuation of the Greeks from Sudan by allied countries continues, this time with the Netherlands arranging a safe passage of the Greek citizens to a friendly country.

According to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

“Seven more people, Greeks and their family members, were rescued from Sudan and arrived today (25.04.2023), on a flight of a Dutch aircraft, in Aqaba, Jordan.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias has expressed his sincere thanks to his Dutch counterpart, Wopke Hoekstra, for the assistance his country continues to provide in the efforts to rescue Greeks and their family members from Sudan.

The process and actions to rescue our compatriots and their family members from Sudan continue in close coordination with our EU partners and allies,” the statement concludes.
