According to Bulgarian media reports, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, US Ambassador to Sofia, Defense Minister Georgy Panayotov and Chief of General Staff Emil Eftimov attended the “Strike Back 21” exercise held near the city of Haskovo in Bulgaria.
The exercise is involving about 800 soldiers of the Bulgarian Land Forces with up to 210 units of military and specialized equipment, as well as a battle team of the Greek Armed Forces where again according to the Bulgarian media participate as well as last year Greek tanks LEO2HEL and other aircraft. A detachment from Romania is also participating.
The exercise “Strike Back 21” aims to increase the operational readiness and interoperability of the Balkan states and is part of the great American exercise, DEFENDER-EUROPE 21.
