Tel Aviv, Israel – This morning, Hezbollah launched an unprecedented attack targeting the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad. Unlike its usual rocket attacks focused on northern Israel, Hezbollah fired a ballistic missile attack from Lebanon toward Tel Aviv.
At approximately 7 a.m., sirens sounded in Tel Aviv and nearby cities in central Israel as a Qader 1 ballistic missile was launched. According to Israeli authorities, the missile was intercepted, and no casualties or damage were reported. Israeli media confirmed that the interception was carried out by the David’s Sling air defense system.
Shortly after the attack, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the missile attack against Tel Aviv, stating that it had specifically targeted Mossad’s headquarters. The group labeled the strike as retaliation for recent Israeli actions, which included detonations of Hezbollah communication devices that killed and seriously injured several members, as well as recent airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of numerous Hezbollah officials.
Despite the successful interception of the missile, Israel swiftly retaliated. In line with its standard protocol, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) targeted the launch site in southern Lebanon. The IDF confirmed that the Hezbollah missile launcher in Nafakhieh was struck.
