Shocking: Rudy Giuliani is under investigation over Turkish lobbying

Rudy Giuliani revealed by US federal authorities that was paid more than $30.5 million to influence US politics or public opinion in favour of Turkish interests during the Trump administration.

A US Department of Justice investigation has reportedly been launched into Rudy Giuliani, which could reveal even more details about his Turkish bribery.

The investigation was reportedly launched last week into alleged attempts by Giuliani to pressure former US President Donald Trump on behalf of Turkish interests.

Giuliani, Trump’s former personal lawyer and former mayor of New York, urged Trump in 2017 to drop federal charges against Reza Zarab, an Iranian-Turkish gold trader.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also publicly sought to drop the charges.

Zarab was accused of helping Halkbank, the Turkish state bank, send billions of dollars to Iran in violation of US sanctions. The former mayor also encouraged Trump to extradite Fethullah Gulen, an exiled Turkish cleric, back to Turkey, making the allegations of bribery by Turkey quite true in our opinion.
