Russian forces have launched an attack on an airport outside Kyiv and captured the Antonov airport outside Kiyv, according to international media.
Antonov International Airport is located 35 km from the Ukrainian capital and its occupation give a significant advantage to the Russian army, as it allows the transfer of additional forces to occupy Kiyv.
Fighting continues fiercely in much of Ukraine, whose government since the start of the Russian offensive has asked Turkey to close the Bosporus straits and airspace of the Black Sea in order to significantly restrict Russian movements.
Turkey said that can’t close the straits and the only reason in which the straits would close is if Turkey comes under attack.
