During a press conference on Friday by the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, which spoke about the war in Ukraine as well as Russia’s future goals.

On the sidelines of the press conference, Zakharova said that “Finland and Sweden should not base their security on jeopardizing the security of other nations.”

It is clear that [Finland and Sweden] joining NATO, which is primarily a military alliance, would have serious military-political implications, which would require our response,” said Maria Zakharova as Russia threatens Finland and Sweden.

The statement comes just hours after Ukrainian President Zhelensky thanked the two countries for their support.

Sweden and Finland is a completely different matter from Ukraine and any military threat from Russia will most likely be addressed by military means of both the USA as well as NATO.
