UAE develops portable stations to command “Drones” on battlefields

The UAE owns companies specialized in the defence industries that produce many weapons and combat systems, including drones.

Drones have become one of the most important weapons that the majority of the world’s armies seek to possess, while a limited number of countries, including the United Arab Emirates, manufacture them.

And because the drones need ground command stations to operate remotely, this may hinder their use in remote areas that are outside the range of fixed ground command stations.

For this reason, the Emirati company, “ADASI”, which specializes in defence systems, has developed portable containers that can be used as ground command stations for drones anywhere around the world.

These containers are characterized by their small size in a way that makes it possible to transport them, whether on trucks, in ships, or even onboard military transport aircraft.
The container bears the name “GCS 300” and can be used as a ground base for storing, operating and transporting drones.

These portable containers can also be used as maintenance centres for drones on the battlefields without the need to transfer them to the main bases, which gives them a great military advantage, especially as they have a crane with a capacity of 1,000 kg, in addition to an integrated intercom system and a weather monitoring station, in addition to a source of electric current…
