Erdogan provokes Putin: “We support Ukraine against Russia”

Turkey will continue to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Turkish President Erdogan said on Saturday after his meeting with the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

At a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart, the Turkish President called for an end to the tension in eastern Ukraine – with “a peaceful and diplomatic” solution, according to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.

Our main goal is for the Black Sea to continue to be a sea of peace, calmness, and cooperation, Erdogan said and reiterated that Turkey does not recognize Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

For his part, the Ukrainian President welcomed the “extremely critical support from Turkey”, while also stressed that the defense industry is very important in Ukraine’s strategic relationship with Turkey.
