The first six Greek Rafale arrived in Tanagra today early at noon. The fighter jets took off from Istre, France at 10:25,(Greek time), and at 12:44 they landed at the airbase in Tanagra.

After entering the Athens FIR, the Rafale accompanied two Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets. “Welcome home, good landings always safely!” the control tower told the pilots.
The pilots of the Greek Rafale flew the aircraft for a while over the base of the 114 Combat Wing before landing and touched and go on the runway making another turn over the airbase of Tanagra.
Of the six Rafale, two are two-seaters and four are single-seaters and are all second-handed by the French air force. In the two-seater, the fighter jets co-pilots of the Greek pilots were their French trainees.
