The crews of the two Greek tankers seized by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Friday have not been arrested and are in good health, Iran’s stated on Saturday.

Iranian forces seized two Greek tankers in the Persian Gulf on Friday, shortly after Tehran warned it would retaliate against Athens over the seizure of Iranian oil by United States from a tanker that was sailing close to Greek city of Karystos with the assistance of Greek authorities.
Greece stated from the start that the Iranian tanker attempted to violate the embargo imposed on Iran.
“The crews of the two Greek tankers have not been arrested and all members are in good health, are being protected and provided with the necessary services on board, in accordance with international law,” the Iranian Ports and Shipping Authority said in a statement to the media.
